Have questions about using Readwise or Reader in your workflow? We'd love to be your guide! Reply to this email with your question and you might be featured in an upcoming issue. Even if your question isn’t featured, we’ll respond to every message.
âť“ A Reader question from Derek V:
How can I share emails that I sent to Reader?

You can share a clean version of any document, including emails, by enabling the public link. If you've taken notes or highlights, they'll show up in the margins!
âť“ A Readwise question from Mat C:
Is there a way to share our company's highlights and text with staff through Readwise?

Meet Broadcast—an oldie but goodie experiment from the early Readwise days! Broadcast lets you create an email newsletter that sends a random selection of your highlights to subscribers. Filter which highlights appear and easily share your best insights with your team, family & friends, or fans.

đź“° March 22-28 updates
What's new in Reader and Readwise
⚙️ NEW! Roam API Integration — Rasul just wrapped up a new Roam Research integration, which uses Roam's official API. It should make the process much smoother and more reliable (as well as support some new things, such as exporting to encrypted graphs). You can access the updated version in your Readwise Preferences.
🔗 Fixed Public Links — Mati fixed a bug where public links and bundles wouldn't load properly if there was an empty name field.
🗞️ Fixed Newsletter Spacing — Arek fixed a bug where some newsletters would have their content pushed too far to the right when viewed in original mode.
🗓️ Improved Date Accuracy — Tadek fixed a bug where the highlighted-at date could get updated, causing an erroneous, more recent date to show up in the metadata of a document's highlights.
📣 Fixed Android Notifications — Arek fixed a bug where Android notifications would show a blank circle instead of the Readwise logo if the phone was locked when the notification came through.
🎬 Clearer YouTube Errors — Sometimes, YouTube creators prevent embedding, which stops Reader from playing the video. It's now much clearer when this happens, so if a video isn't loading, you'll know why thanks to Scott.
📺 Improved Transcript Following — Mati fixed a bug where the selection of text being read aloud in a transcript was hidden when the video was resized and the summary was visible.
🔊 Fixed TTS Progress — If you're listening to TTS with the app in the background, your listening progress will now be properly saved, thanks to Artem.
🔀 Fixed Kindle Exports — Rasul fixed a bug that could cause the Kindle digest frequency to be set to zero, instead of every seven days. Sending documents to Kindle should now be more reliable.
📖 Fixed Paged Scroll — Artem fixed a bug where paged scroll mode could break if certain content (like title or first page header) was too long.
🛜 Parsing Updates — Kryzs improved how Reader handles documents from marginalrevolution.com, stratechery.com, businessinsider.com, highagency.com, fortelabs.com, and theguardian.com.
👍 Three featured finds
From head of bizops Fernando
Something to read đź“–
Fernando has been enjoying The Elephant and the Blind, a hefty tome exploring pure consciousness, rooted in over 500 experiential report. (Pro tip: it’s available to read for free! Click here to add to Reader.)
Something to focus đź§
To stay centered, Fernando uses Breathe+, a long-time favorite for breathwork. The visuals, haptics, and especially the jazz and orchestral sounds make it a calming daily ritual.
Something to unwind 🍄
In the evening, he turns on Common Side Effects—a show about a cure-all mushroom found in the Peruvian Andes (aka Fernando’s backyard!). Thought-provoking, funny, and easy to get into.

Readwise slice of life, Ghiblified

If you’re not chronically online, you might’ve missed the brief moment AI turned the internet into a whimsical Studio Ghibli-style parallel universe. We had fun Ghiblifying our favorite photos and digging into AI & art through this thought-provoking essay: Welcome to the semantic apocalypse.
See you next week!
