Have questions about using Readwise or Reader in your workflow? We'd love to be your guide! Reply to this email with your question and you might be featured in an upcoming issue. Even if your question isn’t featured, we’ll respond to every message.
❓ A Reader question from Seth V:
How can I skip to the next article without having to go back to the main list?

On your computer, press j to jump to the next article or k to go back. On your phone, tap Archive and next at the bottom. You can also turn on auto-advance in your settings. This way, whenever you move the current article to another folder (like later, archive, or inbox), you’ll automatically go to the next one!
❓ A Readwise question from Tony F:
Can I set up my Daily Review to focus on a specific category of highlights from my library?

Yes! You can create a Themed Review to focus on a particular topic or set of tags. Curate your review by choosing which tags or documents you want to review and decide how often you'd like to see them. For example, if you want to review parenting highlights on Tuesdays and vocabulary on Wednesdays—go for it!

📰 March 1-7 updates
What's new in Reader and Readwise
🔗 NEW! Open Links on Desktop — You can now turn on deeplinking to the desktop app in your Reader preferences! Thanks to Scott, any time you open a Reader link (for example in a note-taking app or in an email from us), you'll be automatically taken to the Reader desktop app instead of the web app. The default shortcut to copy a link to a particular document in Reader is shift + L
.
🚀 Improved Export Speed — Piotr has roughly doubled the speed of exporting highlights & documents to notetaking apps, especially for users with lots of documents.
📺 Improved Transcript Scrolling — Mati fixed an oversight where the menu to select a different language for a Youtube transcript wasn't scrollable. It should now be easier to select a different transcript language for videos translated into many different languages (like TED Talks).
📝 Improved Note Editing — Adam fixed a bug preventing highlight notes from getting overwritten with blank content on Safari and the desktop app. It should now be possible to edit a note, delete its content, and save the newly-empty note.
🔀 Sanitized Export Filenames — File names are better about containing letters from non-Latin alphabets like Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic. Piotr also improved our handling of problematic characters like /\:*"|?<>
and non-printable control characters.
🛜 Parsing Updates — Kryzs made improvements to how Reader handles posts from fortelabs.com, techcrunch.com, xkcd.com, firstthings.com, substack.com, and bbc.com.

From support specialist Romi
Something to read 📖
Linea Nigra by Jazmina Barrera was a pivotal read during Romi's first foray into the newborn trenches. Part memoir, part manifesto, it’s deeply personal yet captures the universality of motherhood—our desires, fears, and lessons.
Something to focus 🧠
This bouncer makes it possible for Romi to sip hot coffee, read, or cook—even with a two-month-old.
Something to unwind 🍫
A rich, velvety dessert that’s quick to make but feels intentional. Romi says this tiramisu is the perfect excuse to end the day with something sweet.
