šŸ’” WiseUp! Vol. 4 ā€” Add your paper book highlights, YouTube improvements, and more

This week, weā€™re answering your top questions about watching YouTube videos on Readerā€”like how to resize the video window or select a transcriptā€”and sharing a recommended video so you can put these tricks into practice. Weā€™re also sharing a tip from our support specialist, Angie, on how to add highlights from paper books.

On the dev side, weā€™ve added support for o3-mini, introduced the option to receive email receipts when your subscription renews, and more. Read on for all the details or view our log of weekly improvements.

Before we get into the tipsā€¦

šŸ“ Let's start with a reading recommendation

Can you "see" images in your mind? Some people can't

Our writer, Abi, stumbled upon a TED-Ed video on visualizationā€”perfect for testing out Readerā€™s new YouTube features while learning how different brains process reading. "When reading Lewis Carrollā€™s Aliceā€™s Adventures in Wonderland, most readers visualize the Queen's croquet game play out in their heads. '...it was all ridges and furrows; the balls were live hedgehogs, the mallets live flamingos...' A few might see vivid details, such as the pattern of the hedgehog's quills or the flush of the queen's face. However, a small fraction of readers have a drastically different experience."
